The easiest way of getting to the Spanish Mediterranean is by plane. Prices are normally low if you are able to book in advance or arrive outside of the high season. If you are looking at getting to Costa del Sol you need to fly to Malaga Airport. Gibraltar and Sevilla airport could also be solutions, but would take quite some travelling. If the choice is Costa Blanca you can pretty freely choose between Murcia or Alicante airport. As an alternative to these you might also choose Valencia - especially if you are renting a holiday home near Calpe/Moraira.
